The second-longest thing I have ever written in my life is 20,249 words per AO3. The current word count of 'where the firelight fades' per Written? Kitten! is 20,163. Also, a kitten.

(the first-longest thing I have ever written in my life will take Some Doing to surpass. where the firelight fades is not the thing that will do it.)
