DEAN IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT AND THE SHOW NEEDS TO STOP ACTING LIKE HE IS.
God, yes. I lost a bit of respect for Sam for caving so fast. Especially since Dean didn't seem to compromise or see it from Sam's POV. And the fact they let two witches who killed more people than Amy and were completely doing it For The Evulz two episodes ago, just makes them seem inconsistent and Dean even more dickish than usual.
I would totally like to see Ellen come back from the dead to slap Dean around some. It would be Lolarious!
Sorry to pile on, but damn, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS 100%. I was loving Sam this season up until the last three minutes of this ep. Dean was in the wrong to kill Amy, and as you point out his justifications are totally inconsistent with recent canon even.
I hope show doesn't leave the Amy arc here, but it probably will. I am disappoint.
And if anyone can come back from the dead to slap Dean around, it's Ellen! *hopeful*

Sam just conceding that Dean was right felt weird. I suppose I could interpret it as Sam deciding he isn't going to get any happier being angry at Dean all the time, and letting go of his anger... but damn, that was justified anger.

Could we have every woman who died on the show because of the Winchester brothers come back from the dead and slap them in sequence? Cause that would be fun!

YES AND YES. I was so hoping we'd get some return of Sam's powers when he went after the psychic at the end of the episode, but alas.
