I am interested in Neptune's interest in Medusa, what was going on in Medusa's head from beginning to end of the story, and Minerva's reactions and motivations—like, there's the canonical "rape in MY temple, violating MY space as well as the woman's body", but there's also, I've heard, that a gorgon face is apotropaic (that is, it turns away evil) precisely because of this story, and also that a gorgon face in ancient Greece marked women's shelters, precisely because of this story—because Minerva gave Medusa protection, not a curse. As you might have guessed, this request is an explicit exception to the "non-con" DNW.

The Wonderful Weaver - James Baldwin
